The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur invites applications for its Summer Internship 2026, a prestigious two-month research internship program designed for highly motivated students with strong academic performance and a passion for cutting-edge research.

The internship is exclusively open to current students of IIT Kharagpur, subject to the following conditions:

Eligible Programs:

  • B.Tech students in their ongoing 2nd or 3rd year

  • M.Sc students in their ongoing 1st year

Department Condition:

  • Applicants must belong to any department other than CSE

Academic Requirement:

  • Minimum Current CGPA: 8.5 or above (mandatory for both B.Tech and M.Sc students)

The program seeks students who are keen to work on cutting-edge research problems in computer science and engineering. Throughout the internship, students will actively contribute to research activities and academic discussions.

At the end of the internship:

  • Students must deliver a formal seminar presentation

  • Submit a detailed internship report
